History Repeating was launched on 28th December 2007 as the genealogy companion blog to the website Family Tree UK by Cambridgeshire-based family historian Andrew Martin.
In 2013, the authorship was widened a little to include other bloggers and writers who have genealogical and historical interests predominantly in Cambridgeshire, England.
In 2015, I was co-opted on to The Littleport Society Committee – a civic society with a vast archive of documents and artefacts, and family history information from Littleport village and the surrounding area. Steering myself away from the genealogy part, I have taken roost in their archive and am working on digitally cataloguing their entire collection which ranges from everything between last week’s W.I concert programme, through to plesiosaur bones.
I used to regularly attend England’s annual Who Do You Think You Are? Live show, Littleport Society talks, and often crop up elsewhere at shows in London and the Midlands.
I’m pretending to write a book, but I tweet too much.
