		<description><![CDATA[I love the 1851 census for the fact that though the 1841 census said if they were born in or out of the county, if out, you had no way of knowing where. If they survived to be recorded on the 1851 census it gives the first indication of where that person was born; and clears up ambiguous relationships on the 1841 census. So, yes, have to agree with you, 1851 is great!]]></description>

Thanks for the comment. I&#039;m guessing you&#039;re referring to Francis Elwood in Wilburton, who was baptised on 5th July 1813 with what seems to have been his two sisters, Phebe and Ann. All were the children of William Elwood and his wife Mary.  Looks like there might be an earlier Ann Ellwood who was baptised on 25th August 1810 (unless she was baptised twice - happened sometimes!).

As for a William and Mary Elwood marriage, I can&#039;t see an obvious one right now. There&#039;s on in 1805 according to Ancestry.co.uk but that&#039;s over in Leckonfield, Yorkshire, England which is quite a distance.
