History Repeating was launched in December 2007 as the genealogy companion blog to the website Family Tree UK by Cambridgeshire-based genealogist and writer Andrew Martin.
In 2013, the authorship was extended to begin to include other bloggers and writers who have genealogical and historical interests predominantly in Cambridgeshire, England.
