INFOGRAPHIC: My birth, marriage, and death certificate buying habits

An infographic showing how I split my attention and money on birth, marriage, and death certificates. The results of this were a complete surprise.

Turns out, I love death certificates, and spend most of my money using certificates to research my father’s family side. Who knew!?

    1. Ha! No, but i now feel slightly guilty that i might have been overlooking my maternal family. It’s possible that it’s ended up like this though, because my maternal families have been much larger, much longer living, and had more photographs and ephemera. My father’s family is not so well documented or photographed (or at least if it was, i’ve yet to stumble across the cache of information).

      1. I was working on scanning a binder full of certificates last month and realized I had ordered quite a few from my husband’s side of the family. I had ordered them about a decade ago and hadn’t been working on that side of the family recently. I had one of those “holy crap” moments when I realized how many I had.
